My thoughts here are still rough patches and my only purpose is for learning, so be ready to be disappointed~

I break them down to several posts because personally, I am not a fan of a very long one…

This world is maximally rational

God is in nature also in us

We should seek our needs (that we’re born with) for food, water, shelter and companionship.

You can’t choose emotion but you should control your emotion and not letting emotion controls you. We should avoid :

  • desire
  • pleasure
  • fear

since they are irrational passion.

Rational passions are like :

  • Benevolence towards other people and small joy are inline with nature.
  • Wisdom, temperance, justice and courage.

to be thought upon on and not finished yet

Another thought about escapism

“What good does it do you to go overseas, to move from city to city? If you really want to escape the things that harass you, what you’re needing is not to be in a different place but to be a different person.” (Letters from a Stoic, Seneca)

I agree with that and remember I have written the same thought around May 2009. That means, I was 16 years old then.

“If you see the same sky in different places…
Will it be so different
When you’re still the same person.”
